The hunt

Sonny quickly lead the other cats through the grassy fields, small brown mice jumped over his feet. Playfully Sonny would claw at one before rushing off again. On the other side of the fields showed larger trees. Birds would flock here to feed on the berries. Sonny had come here once before. Suddenly his posture changed, his head low and body pushed to the floor.

"There." He directed his head to the distinct sound of flapping wings.

Waspinator crouched beside Sonny, but Arsenic was nowhere to be seen.
"When cats attack?" Waspinator whined softly.

Soony flicked his ears impatientlyhe looked behind to see that he and Waspinator where the only ones. He shrugged as he laid eyes on the prey again. "Now." He licked his lips and nodded to Wasp. He crawled forward closer to the grass surrounded tree. Springing powerfully up the tree, his hind leg clawed at the bark.

Arsenic suddenly leaped on Waspinator's head, making him taste the dirt as he sprang into the tree. He sprang up the tree. The bird panic and tried to flee, but Arsenic managed to take hold of its tail. The bird flapped desperatly, but a few seconds was all that Arsenic needed with with his skilled claws and teeth. He ripped it to himself, feathers flying like a cloud as Arsenic found the meat. Five seconds later, he had the bird's neck within his mouth. A second after that, it was over.

Distracted by Arsenic's surprising kill, he attached his paws around a branch. Within no time Sonny had balance hiself along the tree, ready for a powerful attack. He shot towards a flicking bird catching it neatly in his jaws. His feet hit the ground with a thud and almost a face full of dirt. He delightfully bit down on the bird killing it slowly, his tounge collecting the flavours he had been waiting for it.
